Collision with Box Truck Blocks SB I-405 for Hours

A pickup rear-ended a stopped box truck on Interstate 405 Saturday evening, blocking the southbound right lane for three hours and injuring one man, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A pickup rear-ended a stopped box truck on southbound Interstate 405 Saturday evening, blocking the right lane for three hours and injuring one man, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The box truck, driven by a 24-year-old Kenmore man, was stopped on Southbound Interstate 405 near milepost 6 just north of 30th Street on Saturday around 5:45 p.m. when a Chevrolet S10 pickup, driven by a 46-year-old Kent man, struck the rear passenger side, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision blocked the right lane for three hours, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The driver of the pickup was transported to Harborview Medical Center, according ot the Washington State Patrol. His condition was not immediately available from the hospital.

The box truck driver was not injured, and was able to drive the vehicle away from the scene.

The crash is under investigation, according to the Washington State
