Early Morning Mattress Fire Sends One Person To The Hospital
Renton firefighters responded to a second house fire in as many days.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation and transported to the hospital following an early morning fire in the 2600 block of Sunset Lane NE.
Firefighters arrived at the scene just before 3 a.m. and found a mattress on fire. The flames were quickly extinguished, Deputy Chief Bill Flora said.
Only one person was home at the time of the fire; they were treated for smoke inhalation and transported to the hospital. No further information on their condition is known at this time.

Officials say the fire was accidental and estimate the damages at $40,000. No firefighter injuries occurred as a result of the call.
