Renton Families Enjoy Easter's Community and Spiritual Events

Reader Richard Bray's family was one of many that celebrates the season in both religious and community Easter events in Renton.

Reader Richard Bray said his family was one of many out this weekend celebrating Easter season in both religious and community events in Renton.

He said his 12-year-old son Michael was an altar server at Good Friday Passion of Lord at , and he will serve Sunday at the 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Easter Masses. He signed up for both, because he wanted to make sure that there would be at least one server for Easter Sunday, his father said. 

Bray's family also participated at a huge Easter Egg hunt at noon at Renton Community Center.

"He was one of about 300 kids on this beautiful sunny day," Bray said. "He's a great kid and is having fun this weekend enjoying the community fun and well as spirituality of Easter this weekend."
