Man Shot In Knee Outside Renton Sports Bar
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after the Monday morning incident outside The Spot Sports Bar & Grill.

RENTON, WA —Police said they continue to investigate a Monday morning shooting outside a Renton restaurant that left one man hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
According to police, the incident happened at approximately 7:30 a.m. outside The Spot Sports Bar & Grill, located at 4224 East Valley Rd.
The unnamed victim, who reported the incident, told police he was walking to work when he was approached by the suspect, who was driving a silver truck. The license plate number is not known.

The suspect told the victim that he was a combat veteran and he thought the victim was a thief, the victim told police.
Then, from his vehicle, the suspect fired an unknown type of handgun at the victim, striking him in the right knee, the victim said. The suspect then fled the scene

The victim was transported to Valley Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
A spokesperson for the Renton Police Department said there were no witnesses to the incident and that no evidence was recovered at the scene.
