Renton Civic Theatre Presents Pump Boys And Dinettes

• When/Where: Thursday nights at 7:30, Friday & Saturday nights at 8 p.m., Sundays  at 2 p.m. at Renton Civic Theatre.

• Why Go: A musical tribute to life by the roadside, complete with performances  with guitars, piano, bass and, yes, kitchen utensils.

• Cost: $25 Adults, $20 Students and Seniors.

"Renway" Island Style Marketplace

• When/Where: 4:30 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club, 12400 80th Ave S.

• Why Go: Leave your wallet at home and join the students and staff at the Boys and Girls Club at "Renway" for their final marketplace of the school year. Never Bored in Washington State

• When/Where:  7 p.m. at the Renton Highlands Library, 2902 NE 12th St.

• Why Go: Mark and Peggy Reeves will present their family-friendly ideas of fun and educational places to visit in Washington State. Using slides and stories, they will show you where to find adventure on the less traveled back roads. Each family will receive their booklet, Never Bored in Washington State, with over 700 interesting things to enjoy.

• Cost: Free.

Henry Moses Aquatic Center Opens for the Season

• When/Where: Saturday, June 16 is opening day of Renton’s aquatic center, located next to the community center at 1719 SE Maple Valley Highway.

• Why Go: Enjoy open swim in the two separate pools, 26-feet high orange and blue water slides, a  9,000-square-foot leisure pool with wave machine and a 3,300-square-foot, six-lane lap pool, lazy river, island lagoon, two water slides, a water play structure, toddler water area, and numerous spray features.

Valley Medical Center Farmers Market

• When/Where: Sunday, June 17 from noon- 4p.m. at Valley Medical Center.

• Why Go: Visit the second-annual Valley Medical Center for fresh produce from noon-4 p.m. through Sept. 16, 2012.

Free Group Run at The Balanced Athlete

• Where/When: The Balance Athlete, 800 N 10th Place at The Landing in Renton, on Sunday, June 3 starting at 8 a.m.
