Renton Man Escapes I-5 Crash Without Injury

The incident is still under investigation, but officials suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the crash.

A Renton man escaped injury during a crash involving three cars and a pedestrian on I-5 late Wenesday night.

Russell Blood, 43, was headed south in his 1993 Ford pickup truck when his car was struck by a 2000 Lexus driven by 37-year-old Bai Ma of Seattle. Ma lost control of her car after she hit a 2001 Mazda, whose driver lost control while trying to take the Michigan Street exit. Neither Ma nor 24-year-old Emily Sikora, who drove the Mazda, were injured. However, a a pedestrian who'd stopped to help was injured.

Arthur Warner, 58, of Auburn stopped his car just south of the crash scene and pulled Sikora from the Mazda before the chain-reaction crash occurred. Warner was taken to Harborview Medical Center for minor injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol.
