Skyway Fire Chief Finalist is Michael B. Sherman

The King County Fire District 20 (Skyway Fire) Board of Commissioners has agreed to make an offer to Michael B. Sherman pending a successful background, medical, physiological, and contract agreement.

Chief Sherman is currently the Interim Fire Chief with Idyllwild Fire Protection District in Idyllwild, Calif. Sherman's previous positions include: Fire Chief at Crest Forest Fire Protection District in Crestline, Calif.; Newberg, Ore. Fire Department; and La Grande, Ore. Fire Department. He began his fire career in 1975 as a firefighter/driver in Chino, Calif.

Chief Sherman will be taking the place of Chief Dave Crossen who is retiring at the end of the year.
