Suspects At Large After Washington State Patrol Car Stolen

The car was reportedly stolen after the trooper got out to investigate a crash.

RENTON, WA -- Three suspects are at large Monday after allegedly stealing a Washington State Patrol car while the trooper was investigating a crash scene in Renton. KOMO reported the incident happened around 3:25 a.m. on Interstate 5.

"The trooper got out of his patrol car to respond to the crash - and when he did, someone jumped in, stole his car and took off up the freeway," KOMO reported.

The suspects left the car on Monster Road, the news station said.

One person was arrested following the incident but three others were at large, KOMO said.
