UPDATE: Renton Police Continue Search For Sam Humphrey

Sam Humphrey, 74, was last seen July 8 at about 5 p.m.

A 74-year-old Renton man is still missing after more than a week of searching.

Renton Police Detectives have canvassed downtown Renton, posted flyers, and talked to people at the places Sam Humphrey is known to frequent, but have had no luck in locating him.

The 74-year-old Renton man was last seen on Sunday July 8 while leaving his home at Renton Villa, a residential care facility located at 71 SW Victoria Ave. at about 5 p.m.

Sam Humphrey is described as a white male stading 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. He has grey hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a heavy white sweatshirt (despite the high temperature). 

Although Humphrey is wearing glasses in the attached photo, he was not wearing them at the time he left home. He is familiar with Renton and will often walk to downtown Renton businesses.

Friends and police are concerned that Sam may have suffered a medical problem or been the victim of a crime, since he has always returned home at night prior to July 8. Humphrey does not suffer from dementia but has suffered strokes in the past.
