When Does School Start In Renton?

It's that time of year again; back-to-school shopping for new supplies and clothes, a fresh haircut for school pictures, and time to plan out the family calendar for the 2012-2013 school year.

So when exactly is the first day of school for students enrolled in the , you ask? 

It's Tuesday, September 4. Sorry kids, there's just more than a month of summer left.

And here's a rundown of vacation days for the rest of the school year:

• October 12 No School—Teacher Training Day
• November 9 No School—State Teacher Training Day
• November 12 No School — Veterans Day (observed)
• November 22-23 No School — Thanksgiving Break
• Dec. 21– Jan. 2 No School — Winter Break
• January 21 No School — MLK Jr. Day
• January 28 No School—Teacher Training Day
• February 18-22 No School— Mid-Winter Break
• April 8-12 No School—Spring Break
• May 24 Snow Make Up Day (if needed)
• May 27 No School — Memorial Day
