🌱 Gas Prices Up Almost 9 Cents + Spokane Store Helps Ukraine Refugees

Here are the top three stories today in Spokane:

  1. Gas prices in Spokane have gone up nearly 9 cents per gallon in the last week, while the national average rose 4.4 cents. A GasBuddy survey looked at 187 gas stations in the city and found that the average price of gas, as of Monday, was $4.32. The prices ranged from $4.16 per gallon to $4.65. (KREM.com)
  2. Ukraine's Closet, a new store in North Spokane, is helping Ukrainian refugees in the area. The store, which Zhanna Oberemok previously operated out of a storage shed, has donated free clothes and shoes to more than 20 families and fully furnished six households with donated furniture. Oberemok said that she's amazed by the generosity of the Spokane community. (FOX 28 Spokane)
  3. A teenager riding an electric bike was hit by a vehicle on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred on 23rd Avenue and Pines. Early reports suggest that the bicyclist cut in front of the car. (FOX 28 Spokane)
