1. Gloria Spencer - 40 Years of Service Gloria Spencer, celebrating an astounding 40 years of service, leaves a legacy of unwavering dedication and commitment to Zag Dining. Her invaluable contributions have had a lasting impact on the organization, and her role in cultivating a positive and welcoming atmosphere will be remembered by colleagues and the Gonzaga community.
2. Kris Artis - 35 Years of Service Kris Artis, reflecting on her 35-year journey with Zag Dining, emphasizes the pivotal role that co-workers and the Gonzaga community played in inspiring her commitment. Kris has been instrumental in witnessing and contributing to Zag Dining's evolution, from its humble beginnings with a single meal plan to the diverse array of choices available to students today. Her dedication to providing healthier choices aligns with Zag Dining's commitment to meeting the diverse nutritional needs of students.

Kris shares, "I enjoy interacting with the students and families, faculty members & staff, and Sodexo co-workers. I also enjoy the many facets of my job, as each day is different and interesting."
3. Teri Madill - 34 Years of Service Teri Madill, with 34 years of experience, highlights the profound impact of technology on the industry. Her insights into navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by technology showcase Zag Dining's commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation. Teri's role in challenging assumptions during a pilot project underscores the importance of experience and expertise in shaping the direction of the organization.

Teri states, "I’ve navigated through the change by embracing the good things about technology, and taking a deep breath, keeping an open mind, and continuing to work through the not-so-good with technology."
4. Deborah Good - 29.5 Years of Service Deborah Good, with nearly three decades of service, provides insights into balancing continuity with adaptability in her role. Her contribution to managing inventory at Crosby Cafe stands out as a project with a lasting impact on Zag Dining's operations.
Deborah shares, "Change is everything and to be expected. From what I learned: it is super important to learn quickly. When you can learn everything there is to learn about the position, the changes will come naturally and will be expected."
5. Denise Bloodworth - 25 Years of Service (Retired) Denise Bloodworth, celebrating 25 years, emphasizes the familial culture within Zag Dining. Her journey, from flipping burgers to cashier, reflects the organization's commitment to supporting employees in their professional growth. The care and support she received from her co-workers during challenging times highlights the organization's unique and compassionate workplace atmosphere.
Denise shares, "When I started working for Zag Dining, I was on the grill flipping burgers. I then moved to the yogurt bar, salad bar, and finally to cashier. I’ve learned the new POS system and just go with the flow."
6. Jackie Piper - 24 Years of Service Jackie Piper, with 24 years of experience, discusses the impact of technology on the dishwashing process. Her dedication to creating a positive work environment, even during personal challenges, reflects the collaborative spirit at Zag Dining.
Jackie remarks, "Worked with me when my husband was sick and allowed me to adjust my schedule to take care of him and allow me to work."
7. Martha Cochran - 23 Years of Service Martha Cochran, reflecting on 23 years with Zag Dining, provides insights into the organization's embrace of diversity and inclusion. Her commitment to leading by example and adapting to change highlights her role in fostering a positive workplace culture.
Martha shares, "I go with the flow, try to lead by example. Do the right thing and if you see something that isn’t right fix it or get someone to fix it."
8. Kathryn Garza - 21 Years of Service Kathryn Garza, with 21 years of experience, discusses adapting to changing dining preferences. Her focus on providing a wide range of choices for students reflects Zag Dining's commitment to meeting evolving customer tastes.
Kathryn advises, "I would tell them to adapt and overcome, go beyond just the job and don’t waste time on gossip and BS."
9. Matthew Olsen - 21 Years of Service Matthew Olsen, with 21 years of service, emphasizes Zag Dining's commitment to sustainability. His involvement in initiatives like 'Weigh the Waste' displays the organization's dedication to environmental responsibility.
Matthew states, "Stay organized, keep the trash organized, recycle trash and compost. The food goes into the machine and me and my teammates work together on that."
10. Michael Schroeder - 20 Years of Service Michael Schroeder, in his 20 years at the McCarthey Athletic Center, brings a varied work background and unique perspective to Zag Dining. His enthusiasm for the outdoors and commitment to adaptability contribute to the continued success of Gonzaga Athletics.
Michael expresses, "I’m excited to see what the future holds for myself and my excellent teammates for the continued success of Gonzaga Athletics."
