Northeast Community Center leadership transition marked by $50,000 Bank of America grant (kxly.com) — Northeast Spokane’s community center is entering a new era as longtime executive director Dave Richardson retires and successor Jene Ray steps in with a $50,000 Bank of America Neighborhood Builder grant to support leadership training. Updated daily with information back to 2019, the dashboard aims to counter social media rumors, show citywide crime trends, and give neighbors, businesses, and councils the same data police use for decisions.

Tourism from Canada still declining in Spokane, local businesses hurting (kxly.com) — Canadian visitors to Spokane have dropped sharply this year, leaving local attractions and businesses with far fewer customers and ticket sales. From Riverfront Park’s visitor center to Best of Broadway performances, organizations report steep declines that could influence which shows and experiences still come to Spokane.

Charity founder Rick Clark cleared of fraud allegations (spokesman.com) — Spokane police have cleared local charity founder Rick Clark of criminal wrongdoing after investigating financial concerns raised by the board of Giving Back Spokane. The case, which involved a now-dissolved nonprofit known for major local aid efforts, left Clark describing deep personal fallout but also relief at being exonerated.
