Here are the top three stories in Spokane today:

  1. Just after midnight on Friday, Apr. 22, the Spokane Fire Department (SFD) responded to a travel trailer fire located on the 500 block of East Gordon Ave. Logan and Hillyard neighborhood fire station crews arrived on the scene within a few minutes to discover the travel trailer was caught on fire and had extended to two other vehicles that were close by. The combined heat melted siding and cracked windows on a nearby home. Fortunately, no injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported. The incident remains under investigation by the SFD Special Investigations Unit. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Several renowned comedians are scheduled to perform at Spokane Comedy Club over the next several weeks. Joe Gatto, the former star of Impractical Jokers, will be at the club on Friday. He will have five shows in the area over the weekend. One week after Gatto, Shawn Wayans will take the stage, followed by comedians Brian Posehn, Jeff Allen, and Nick Swardson over the next few weeks. (KXLY Spokane)
  3. If you're hoping to add a pet to your family, consider the animal shelters in the Spokane area for a four-legged friend you can take home. In a partnership with Petfinder, Patch has compiled this week's list of animals available for adoption near you. (Spokane Patch)
