Here are the top three stories in Spokane today:
- A boy from Morning Star Boys Ranch stole a car Tuesday evening and crashed it a few blocks from the residential facility. The accident closed Glenrose Avenue between 37th and Rosedale and caused a backup in the area. One person sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. (KXLY Spokane)
- A Spokane child has been identified as one of more than 80 victims across the country who was targeted by a man accused of grooming children to make pornography, said the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. 24-year-old Demetrius Carl Davis is suspected of portraying himself as an 11-year-old girl online and speaking to children. The victims range in age from six to 13 years old. (KREM.com)
- Greg Thomas's home security camera recorded a video of someone stealing his catalytic converter from his car last Saturday morning. The theft took only a couple of minutes but it will cost Thomas about $2,000 in repairs. Spokane police have made two arrests in other cases so far. (KREM.com)
