Here are the top three stories today in Spokane:

  1. The Golden Handle Project offers beer, but with benefits! If you want to give back to the community and enjoy a drink, check out the Golden Handle Project’s brewery, which is Washington's first brewery to incorporate as a social purpose corporation, which allows it to pursue profits and social good. (Inlander)
  2. The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) kennels are completely full of adoptable dogs. Shelters are crowded with the number of dogs in them right now. To help encourage adoptions, SCRAPS is waiving adoption fees for dogs and bunnies at the shelter. The only thing required when bringing a furry friend home is payment for a pet license. (KHQ Right Now)
  3. April is Spokane Gives month! There are so many opportunities to get involved, whether it’s helping at the blood drive or cleaning up the streets. Check out VolunteerSpokane.org for more information and signups for these events. (KXLY Spokane)
