Gonzaga University’s Zag Dining proudly embraces the fusion of Diversity, Intercultural Competence, and Global Engagement, reflecting on the unity and promise within the campus community.
This month, Zag Dining celebrated both the Vietnamese Lunar New Year and Black History in two distinct events. The concurrent festivities underscored the rich cultural differences within the campus community, coexisting harmoniously.
In collaboration with Student Clubs and Organizations, Zag Dining embarks on a journey to cultivate events that blend food and cultural education. The voluntary engagement of Gonzaga students, alongside culinary professionals, showcases leadership and a commitment to crafting recipes and preparing meals that highlight cultural diversity.

“These events go beyond mandatory assignments; they exemplify the culture of Belonging, Acting, and Thriving TOGETHER that Zag Dining fosters on campus,” said Resident District Manager Patrick Clelland. “Such activities are pivotal, providing students with the opportunity to celebrate diverse lives and cultures shaped by varied beliefs, experiences, and values in an ever-changing global environment.”
