• Fitchburg resident, Johannsen's Greenhouse family member killed in Antigua attack (wmtv15news.com) — A Fitchburg resident connected to Madison’s longtime Johannsen’s Greenhouse has died after an attack while horseback riding in Antigua, passing away days later at University Hospital in Madison. Local readers may remember the greenhouse, which closed in 2013, as police in Antigua continue investigating and hold a man in custody.
   

• Solar tax incentives end on Dec. 31; what that means for one solar business in Madison (wkow.com) — Madison homeowners have just until New Year’s Eve to claim a 30% federal tax credit for installing residential solar panels, a change already reshaping demand for local installer Midwest Solar Power. The Madison company is booked well into next year and is focusing on efficiency and cost-cutting to keep solar attractive once the federal incentive disappears, alongside smaller remaining Wisconsin incentives.
   

• Slender Man Attacker Sent Back to Psychiatric Hospital (newser.com) — A woman involved in the notorious Slender Man stabbing is being returned to Winnebago Mental Health Institute after escaping from a supervised group home in Madison, where she had been living under court-ordered conditions. Her GPS monitor was cut off at the YoYo Quality Care facility before she was later arrested in Illinois, prompting a judge to revoke her conditional release.
