5-Year-Old Found Safe After Going Missing In Milwaukee: Report

Police said a 5-year-old last seen in Milwaukee Thursday evening has been found safe, according to reports.

UPDATE: According to multiple media reports, police said Hines has been found safe.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a 5-year-old who went missing after last being spotted near Appleton and Keefe avenues Thursday evening.

Serenity Hines was last spotted around 9:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Appleton Avenue, according to a news release from police. Hines was described as a 5-year-old African American girl with a dark complexion around 3 feet tall weighing 50 pounds, possibly with three ponytails and a bow tie, police said. Police said Hines was last seen wearing a purple tank top, pink shorts and Mickey Mouse shoes, plus a wrist brace on her right arm.

Police said the missing 5-year-old is in the company of her mother, Suenikia M. Bates, a 34-year-old woman last seen wearing a black shirt, rainbow shorts and a blonde wig.
