Milwaukee police are investigating a 5-year-old's death as probable fentanyl poisoning, the medical examiner's office said.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee police are investigating a 5-year-old's death as probable fentanyl poisoning, the county medical examiner said in a statement posted to Twitter.
Kayden Jones was found dead in his bedroom on the 6900 block of N. 37th Street on May 11, according to a demographic report. A preliminary ruling showed his death was a homicide, the report said.
Police arrested a 24-year-old woman from Milwaukee in connection with Jones death, the Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement. Officers tried to save the boy's life, but he was pronounced dead on scene.

Police said there were no visible signs of trauma, CBS 58 reported.
