Up To 9 Inches Of Snow In Forecast For WI: Latest Timing, Details
Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties are under a winter storm warning starting Thursday evening and into Friday morning.
WISCONSIN — Heavy snow is expected to sweep into much of southeastern Wisconsin by Thursday evening and last into Friday, possibly causing travel difficulties, according to the National Weather Service.
Between 5 to 8 inches of snow could accumulate in the region with higher snow totals of up to 9 inches expected closer to Lake Michigan, according to the NWS. The highest rate of snowfall will be mainly overnight, the NWS said.
The snow is set to move in from the southwest and move northeast with temps remaining around freezing, the NWS said. Northeast and east winds could pick up in the afternoon.

A winter storm warning is in effect in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties (plus other lakeside counties) from 6 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday. As travel could become problematic, NWS forecasters advised drivers to keep emergency food and water in their vehicles.
The snow could start around 4-6 p.m. for much of Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties. Wind gusts in Milwaukee and Waukesha could reach around 25 mph overnight.
