Armored Car Guard Shot During Robbery In Milwaukee: Police

MILWAUKEE, WI — An armored car guard was shot in a robbery near 79th Street and Capitol Drive Thursday morning, police said.

Police said the 55-year-old guard was hospitalized shortly after the encounter around 8 a.m. Another guard shot back at the suspect, who ran from the scene, though police said they weren't sure if the 26-year-old guard hit him or missed.

A third guard was on the scene as well, though no other injuries were reported, and police noted the wounded guard's injuries were not fatal.
