Crash Kills Pedestrian Crossing Street On Milwaukee's South Side: Cops
Milwaukee police said they are looking for a gray or silver Jeep Grand Cherokee in connection with a fatal hit-and-run Saturday night.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee police said they are looking for the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee after a woman crossing the street was struck by two cars and killed Saturday night.
The 27-year-old woman from Milwaukee was crossing Greenfield Avenue at South 23rd Street when the first car hit her and fled, police said. Another car driven by a 52-year-old man from Plymouth also hit the woman but he stopped and stayed on the scene, police said.
The pedestrian was hospitalized where she later died, police said.

Police said they are still looking for the driver of the Jeep, while the Plymouth man in the second car was taken into custody and is awaiting a review of charges by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
The crash happened around 10:20 p.m. and the suspected gray/silver Jeep SUV that fled is likely from model years 1999-2004, police said. The suspected SUV should have damage to the passenger side headlamp and hood or windshield, police said.

Before the fatal crash, police said the suspected Jeep did not have a working driver's side headlamp. Police said the suspect was last seen headed east on Greenfield Avenue and then south down 22nd Street.
