Crashes Injure 2 Pedestrians In Milwaukee Over Span Of 3 Hours: Police

MILWAUKEE, WI — Two pedestrians on Milwaukee streets suffered serious injuries in two separate crashes over the span of a few hours overnight Thursday, according to police.

The first crash happened around 9:40 p.m. when a woman was pushing a disabled car out of the road near 76th Street and Villard Avenue, according to police. Another car that was speeding north on 76th crashed into the car and pinned the 32-year-old woman, police said.

A 28-year-old woman was inside the disabled car alongside a 10-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man, but none of them reported any injuries, police said. The driver of the other car, a 19-year-old man, stayed at the scene and is cooperating, police said.

Just hours later, another crash in Milwaukee left a pedestrian injured. A man was walking across Fond Du Lac Avenue near 56th Street in a marked crosswalk around 12:35 a.m. Friday when a car hit him, police said.

The man was brought to a local hospital for treatment, though police said they are still looking for information on the vehicle and driver.
