Off-Duty Ohio Cop Shoots, Kills 17-Year-Old In Robbery Attempt: Police
The off-duty police officer fatally shot a 17-year-old boy. Milwaukee police said the shooting was in self-defense during an armed robbery.
MILWAUKEE, WI — An off-duty Ohio police officer shot and killed a 17-year-old from Milwaukee during an armed robbery attempt on Sunday, according to a report.
A 38-year-old Cleveland Division of Police officer shot the teen in Milwaukee's north side shortly after midnight, The Associated Press said. Neither the officer nor the teen were named, but officials said the teen had a gun.
The Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement that the officer fired the gun in self-defense. The investigation is still open, and police are looking for two people involved in the robbery attempt.

Cleveland Police Union President Jeff Follmer said the 38-year-old officer wasn't in custody and use of force appeared to be "justified," WJW-TV reported.
