MILWAUKEE, WI — The first flakes of the season could fall across southern Wisconsin this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters said light snow accumulations are possible Saturday afternoon into Saturday night, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. The highest chances for measurable snow are expected west of Milwaukee, around Madison and the Wisconsin Dells area.

Southeastern areas, including Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Sheboygan, may see a rain and snow mix into the evening due to the storm track and relatively warm lake temperatures.
