Fully-Automatic Gun Found In Car With 7 Kids; 3 Adults Arrested: Cops

After a stolen car was found at a South Milwaukee park Tuesday, the sheriff's office said they arrested three people who had a machine gun.

SOUTH MILWAUKEE, WI — Three people may soon face multiple charges including possession of a machine gun after a woman spotted them with her stolen car at Grant Park Tuesday night, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

The woman saw her car around 5:20 p.m. parked at the beach lot when two men got out and moved into a second vehicle, the sheriff's office said in a news release. The second car was being driven by a woman, authorities said.

Cudahy police caught up with the second car and conducted a high risk stop, the sheriff's office said. Police eventually found seven children inside, ranging in age from 2-15 years old, according to the news release.

Besides the children, authorities said they also discovered a substance that seemed to be illegal drugs in the second car, plus a pistol equipped with a conversion kit to make it work like a machine gun and fire full auto.

Police said they turned the children over to a responsible adult. All three adults could face charges of possession of a machine gun and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, the sheriff's office said.

The woman who was driving could also face a charge of felon in possession of a firearm and operating while intoxicated and revoked, while the 22-year-old man could also face a charge of operating a car without the owner's consent, the sheriff's office said.
