Man, 23, Arrested After Milwaukee Teen's Shooting Death: Police

Milwaukee police were investigating the 15-year-old girl's shooting death on Sunday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A 15-year-old girl was shot and killed in northwest Milwaukee on Sunday, the Milwaukee Police Department announced.

The girl, who was not named, was shot around 2 p.m. on the 5700 block of N. 65th Street, Milwaukee police said in a statement. She had life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

She arrived at Children's Hospital with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead around 4 p.m., the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Her death was ruled a homicide the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office said in a statement.

The shooting was the result of an argument and a 23-year-old man who was connected to the shooting was arrested, police said.

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the murder, police said. An autopsy would be performed Monday.

This is one of two homicides in Milwaukee over the weekend, the office said.
