Powerball Ticket Sold In West Allis Wins $50K While Jackpot Grows

A Pick 'n Save in West Allis sold a lottery ticket that won $50,000 with Wednesday's Powerball drawing, Wisconsin Lottery said.

WEST ALLIS, WI — A Powerball ticket sold at a Pick 'n Save in West Allis won $50,000 in Wednesday's drawing, marking the third big Powerball win for the Badger State in August, Wisconsin Lottery announced Thursday.

The ticket matched four of five numbers (9-11-17-19-55) plus the Powerball (1). The ticket was purchased at the 6760 West National Avenue grocery store, which has sold winning tickets in the past of up to $100,000, Wisconsin Lottery said in a news release.

Wednesday's Powerball win comes as the estimated top prize is continuing to rise again with a $264 million jackpot on the line for Saturday's drawing.

So far, August in Wisconsin has brought a $100,000 winning Powerball ticket in Luxemburg and a $50,000 winning ticket in Appleton. The odds of winning the smaller sum are 1 in 913,130.
