Toddler Shoots Self, Mother Arrested

MILWAUKEE, WI — A two-year-old boy shot himself with his mother's gun Wednesday, according to Milwaukee police. He's expected to recover.

The shooting occurred on October 7 around 11:26 p.m. in the 3200 block of N. 9th Street.

The boy was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed the toddler found his mother's gun and accidentally shot himself, according to police. Police haven't released many more details.

The mother was taken into custody.
