Victims Identified After Deadly Wrong-Way Crash In Milwaukee

A 27-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were both killed in a wrong-way collision on I-43 near South Chase Avenue, death reports showed.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people who were killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 94 near South Chase Avenue in Milwaukee on Wednesday died of an accident, death reports showed.

Tyler Anderson, 19 and Ivy Caldwell, 27, both died in an accident when their cars hit each other head-on in Milwaukee's south side, autopsy reports from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office showed. Both people were killed around 2:10 a.m., officials said.

"Had I known that this was going to be the last time I seen him, I wouldn't have let him go," Anderson's mother Kassandra told CBS 58. "My heart is broke."

The fatal crash closed the freeway around 2 a.m. on Wednesday and both Anderson and Caldwell were taken to a local hospital, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
