Bitter Cold Wind Chill Expected In Southeast Wisconsin Forecast

Wind chill values are expected to go double digits below zero north of Milwaukee, forecasters said. Here's the latest forecast.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Freezing cold gusts of wind of up to 25 mph are expected in the Milwaukee area on Monday, as forecasters from the National Weather Service said that wind chill values will go to the double digits below zero.

Wind chills down to 25 degrees below zero are expected for east central, south central and southeast Wisconsin on Monday, forecasters said. Gusts can go up to 25 mph and wind chills down to 20 below are expected to linger until Tuesday morning.

Monday will likely be sunny and cold, and the high temperature is expected to be 10 degrees, forecasters said. The high temperature is expected to drop to one degree below zero and winds down to 10 below zero are expected to persist.

Tuesday is expected to be a little warmer with a high of 27, but wind chills can range from 10 degrees below to zero and gusts can go as fast as 30 mph, forecasters said. The day will likely be sunny and clouds are expected at night.

Wednesday has chances of being partly sunny with a high of 34, with winds settling down to 5 to 10 mph, forecasters said. Wednesday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low of 21.

Monday: Sunny and cold, with a high near 10. Wind chill values between -10 and -15. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around -1. Wind chill values between -5 and -10. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest after midnight.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 27. Wind chill values between -10 and zero. South wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 34. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 34. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east after midnight.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 34.

Friday Night: Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29.
