Congressional primary winners were announced by the Associated Press just after 9 p.m. Tuesday. The AP called the race in favor of Jessica King in the Sixth Congressional District race over two Democratic challengers. Moments later, the AP called the race for Scott Fitzgerald in the Fifth Congressional District Republican primary just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

"I entered this race because I wanted to bring the common-sense, conservative reforms that we’ve championed here in Wisconsin to Washington," Fitzgerald said in a statement. "The events of recent months have further cemented the idea that we need experienced, proven conservative leaders in Congress to stand with our Commander in Chief and protect our democracy. I’m excited to bring my years of experience championing conservative reforms to our nation’s capital, where I’ll fight alongside President Trump to clean up the dysfunction, get people back to work, and keep Wisconsin families safe."

At just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, the AP called the First Congressional District primary race in favor of Roger Polack. "I’m going to bring the same tenacity to Congress that I brought to protecting the United States throughout my decade of service to our country," he wrote in his official campaign bio. "I’ll work harder than anyone to build a real grassroots campaign across this district that can win, and I’m not going to take a dime from corporate PACs and special interests. This campaign is about people right here in Wisconsin—not them."
