WI Couple Gets $316.3 Million In Powerball Jackpot
"It was one of the happiest moments of my life," one winner said. The jackpot was split between winners in Wisconsin and California.

WISCONSIN — A Brown County couple won over $300 million in Powerball winnings after agreeing to split the jackpot another winner in California, the Wisconsin Lottery announced on Monday.
Tammy and Cliff Webster won $316.3 million after they bought a ticket from a gas station in Green Bay in January 2022, the lottery said in a statement. The winners took the cash option and received $225.1 million instead of annual payments.
"I yelled to her that we won and we couldn't believe it," Cliff said. He said that he found the matching numbers when the two were getting ready for work in the morning.

"We didn't know what to do, we were hugging and yelling at 4:30 in the morning," Cliff said.
"Anybody could win," Tammy said. "Just be thankful for what you have and be happy, and maybe good things will come, because it came for us."

The Jackson Pointe Citgo in Green Bay will get a $100,000 incentive for selling the winning ticket, Wisconsin Lottery said.
This was the fourth major jackpot won in Wisconsin over the past four years, with three Powerball jackpots and one Mega Millions won in the state since March 2019, lottery director Cindy Polzin said in a statement.
The jackpot was the seventh largest in Powerball history, the lottery said. Matching all five numbers had a probability of one in 292,201,338.

The largest Powerball prize ever was $1.59 billion split among winners from three different states in January 2016.
