Alabama Woman Throws Hot Grease In Face Of Intruder: Cops
Police said the intruder was armed with a firearm when he entered the home.
DECATUR, AL — An Alabama woman defended herself against an armed intruder who entered her home by throwing hot grease in his face, police said.
According to police, the incident happened on Aug. 1 when police responded to a home on Wimberley Drive SW for a domestic dispute. When police arrived, they found a man, who was identified as Larondrick Macklin, suffering from burns on his face.
Macklin was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said their investigation revealed that Macklin was the primary aggressor in the altercation as he entered the victim's home with a firearm. Police said the woman defended herself with a pot containing hot grease.
Macklin was charged on Aug. 2 with first-degree burglary and first-degree domestic violence.

A mugshot for Macklin provided by Decatur police showed that the had significant burns all across his face.

He received medical attention and was taken to the Morgan Caounty Jail where he is currently being held.
