Here are the top three stories today in Huntsville:

  1. On Tuesday, Mayor Tommy Battle signed a proclamation to declare this week as Armed Forces Celebration Week in Huntsville. There are several events throughout the week that aim to honor the U.S. military. Tomorrow, Thursday, Jun. 29, the AUSA's Iron Mike Golf Tournament will take place at the Links at Redstone at 8:30 a.m. From 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., there will be a U.S. Space and Rocket Center Biergarten event at the Davidson Center.   2. Huntsville Parks and Recreation announced an upcoming event called Tie-Dye in July. This free, family-friendly event will take place on Thursday, Jul. 6 at Brahan Spring Park Pavilion from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Participants should bring a white t-shirt or similar item to be tie-dyed.   3. There will be a grand opening event for Legacy Park today, Jun. 28, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The celebration will include ice cream, music, and free hot dogs.   • The Huntsville Museum of Art is challenging visitors to strike their best arabesque as part of the Fourth of July weekend Hare-arabesque Photo Challenge.   • There is a Firefly Garden Hike event coming up at the Huntsville Botanical Garden on Jul. 11. One-hour guided hikes will start at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The event will include lessons on the life cycle of a firefly and how to create a firefly habitat in your garden.
