Here are the top three stories today in Huntsville:
- On Sunday, the 128th Military Police Company hosted its deployment ceremony at the Marshall Institute at the Space and Rocket Center. The ceremony served as an opportunity for families to see their loved ones and send well wishes before about 20 soldiers head to Kosovo to serve as NATO peacekeepers. Lieutenant Lett said taht they want to have these types of ceremonies to say thank you to those family members and friends and really try to honor them through this time. (WAFF)
- Huntsville native Kobe Brown has been declared for the NBA draft. Brown plans to go through predraft workouts and interviews, and attend the NBA Combine but can choose to withdraw and return to the University of Missouri for his fifth year of college play if he prefers. This past season was his best year yet, averaging nearly 16 points a game while shooting 45 percent from three. (WHNT News 19)
