Here are the top three stories today in Huntsville:
- Greyhound Lines Inc. will resume services in Huntsville on Monday, Aug. 21 following the development of a new transfer station. The Greyhound station is now located on Memorial Parkway Southwest and is connected to a Texaco station, offering customers the chance to purchase food and drinks before their trip. The new station will also have four additional schedules per day, including access to Birmingham and Nashville. (WHNT)
- In September, the city will be celebrating its second annual Huntsville Music Month. There are over 100 events scheduled for next month designed to boost Huntsville musicians and connect music fans with local artists. Huntsville Music Month will kick off with a free concert series called Launchpad on Sep. 1-3 at Big Spring Park. These events will begin each day at 5:00 p.m. The final Launchpad performance will also be the kickoff of Jazz in the Park. Click here to see the full calendar of events. (WAFF)
- In case you missed it, Huntsville will be hosting the National Cyber Summit at the Von Braun Center on Sep. 20-21. This event is expected to draw over 3,000 attendees, including students and faculty from Huntsville's Alabama School of Cyber, Technology and Engineering. A new education track will be unveiled at the event called, "workforce development in K-12," which aims to prepare students for jobs in cyber technology and engineering. (WAAY)
