Huntsville Police Department: Multiple Arsons Under Investigation

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) and Huntsville Fire & Rescue (HFR) are investigating seven separate fires that happened on Saturday, September 25.

Investigators believe all the fires were set intentionally at the following addresses:

HPD took a suspect into custody before 8 p.m. on Saturday for the fires. The suspect is expected to face multiple arson charges.

The businesses sustained varying levels of damage. No one was injured in the fires.

HPD and HFR are working with other area law enforcement agencies to investigate if the suspect is connected to intentional fires set in their jurisdictions.

The fires remain under investigation and no further information is available at this time. HPD will release the suspect’s name after he is charged.
