Here are the top three stories today in Huntsville:

  1. On Mar. 20, the trial began for a man charged with the 2018 murder of three-year-old “Sweet Livia” Robinson. Martin Arrendondo Evenes is one of three adults charged with capital murder after a drive-by shooting resulted in the toddler’s death. Evenes confessed to firing his gun at the house but has denied aiming for a specific person. Trials for the remaining two defendants are set to take place once Evenes’s trial has concluded.   2. The Huntsville Police Department is continuing to investigate antisemitic graffiti that included racist slogans and swastikas. The graffiti was discovered on the side of the MidCity Wahlburgers in February 2023. As of Tuesday, there have been no charges filed or arrests made. (WAFF)
  3. A man driving a stolen 2016 Corvette crashed in Huntsville early Tuesday morning. The car was reportedly taken from Patriot Automotive in Meridianville. The chase began around 3:30 a.m. and ended when the driver crashed on the I-565 exit ramp near Bob Wallace Ave. No injuries were reported in the crash, and the driver was taken into custody. (WAFF)
