Here are the top three stories in Huntsville today:

  1. Huntsville Restaurant Week is back, with the city's best restaurants, dessert shops, breweries, and bars offering up special meals and deals from Aug. 11-20. Some 90 establishments have signed up, offering specials including multi-course prix-fix meals for $50 or less per person. Click the link for a complete list of all participating businesses. (Soul Grown)
  2. The remainder of Huntsville Summit residents who were displaced due to an electrical fire two weeks ago were able to return home yesterday. Over 100 residents were evacuated after the initial fire, and following one final inspection this week, the remaining 21 displaced residents were finally able to return to their homes. Those living in more heavily-impacted units have been staying in motels and scraping by until repairs were finished. (WAFF)
  3. One of downtown Huntsville's newest apartment complexes is now likely to open in late October. The 107-unit Gallery at Lowe Mill apartment community, across from the Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment Center, will feature a lower level with restaurants and commercial spaces, with studio and one and two-bedroom apartments above. Representatives for the development have shared that they will continue to closely track construction progress over the next month and time pre-leasing and move-ins accordingly. (AL.com)
