  1. The Morgan County Sheriff's Office is looking for a runaway teen. Laura Grantland, 15, has been missing and was reported as a runaway to the police by her family. She was last seen at the Walmart on South Memorial Parkway in Huntsville. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Grantland, police ask that you call or submit a tip here. (WAAY)
  2. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC) is celebrating its first space station lab with free events throughout the summer. The 50th anniversary of the USSRC, America's first space station, will be held on May 28 with an event called "Cocktail Napkin to Space Station: Skylab’s Origin Story." The program will explore the challenges of launching a lab where Americans live and work in space. Three more events will occur in the summer, with one event in June, July, and August for families to enjoy. (WHNT News 19)
  3. A 60-year-old man named Joseph Robinson from Huntsville has been arrested and is currently held in Madison County Jail without bond on charges of raping a girl who is under the age of 12. The Huntsville Police Department's Special Victims Unit Investigators apprehended Robinson on several charges, including rape in the first degree, sodomy in the first degree, and sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old, emphasizing that he had a prior acquaintance with the alleged victim.   • Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle, Madison County Commission Chair Mac McCutcheon, and Madison Mayor Paul Finley expressed deep concern over the House Committee on Armed Services' investigation into delays and questionable practices surrounding the selection of the U.S. SPACE COMMAND headquarters, highlighting attempts to undermine the objective process that identified Huntsville-Redstone as the best location. They emphasized that such actions erode trust in the Department of Defense, jeopardizing the military, national security, and the integrity of the decision-making process.
