Bridge Senior Living Adds Alicia Lavin as Executive Director of Somerby Mobile
Will oversee community's daily operations and multi-million-dollar refresh enhancing resident experience

Bridge Senior Living today announced the addition of Alicia Lavin to lead one of the company’s four Alabama communities.
As executive director of Somerby Mobile, Lavin will oversee the community’s daily operations with a focus on providing her team with support, inspiration and training for life enrichment, assisted living services and memory care for community residents. She will also oversee a multi-million-dollar property refresh with enhancements to several areas of the community, including the Independent Living dining room, salon, fitness gym, Somerby Room, as well as other locations.
Located in Alabama’s Gulf Coast region, Somerby Mobile offers assisted living and memory care services as the city’s Bridge Senior Living community. The other Alabama communities are Somerby St. Vincent’s One Nineteen in Birmingham, Fleming Farms in Huntsville, Ala., and Summer Village Senior Living, a trio of facilities in Auburn, Ala.

“Alicia Lavin brings nearly 25 years of hospitality management experience to Somerby Mobile,” said Rebecca Sturtz, regional vice president of operations for Bridge Senior Living. “Our residents and team look forward to Alicia’s community operations at Somerby Mobile.”
Prior to joining Bridge Senior Living, Lavin was general manager at Ascent Hospitality in Mobile since early 2023, leading a team through a full hotel renovation project. Previously she was project manager and systems analyst with Ohio-based Hostar International, general manager with Atrium Hospitality’s Embassy Suites Hotel in Hot Springs, Ark., and a manager at Atrium’s home office in Alpharetta, Ga. She also served in manager or director roles for Kalahari Resorts & Conventions properties in Pennsylvania and Ohio after assistant general manager roles for Silverleaf Resorts and Hyatt Place locations in Texas as well as front desk manager with Grand Hyatt’s Kauai Resort & Spa in Hawaii.

Lavin earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Louisiana State University – Shreveport. She is a two-year resident of Mobile.
