Business Advisors Franchisee Wins Gold at USA Pickleball
The tournament took place in Foley, Alabama
The USA Pickleball Select Series tournament, held at the Foley Event Center from August 23-25, 2024, was a resounding success, drawing 114 players and pickleball enthusiasts from across the country. Among the standout competitors was Bill Kleinschrodt, President of Transworld Business Advisors Gulf Coast, who made a remarkable impact by winning the gold medal in the Men’s Singles 4.0 UTR-P (30-39) age bracket and securing the bronze medal in the open age Men’s Singles 4.0 UTR-P classification.
Kleinschrodt's impressive performance is a testament to his dedication and recent intensive training. Playing for his first time just four weeks prior to the tournament, he trained daily under the guidance of Bob Alston, a past client of Transworld and a seasoned pickleball player. Kleinschrodt’s athletic background as a college baseball player, combined with his “light” experience in tennis after college, contributed to his swift adaptation to singles format pickleball.
“I’m incredibly proud to have competed and won at the USA Pickleball Select Series,” said Kleinschrodt. “Training with Bob Alston was invaluable, and I’m grateful for the support of the community and my team. While I still have much to learn in the doubles game, the singles tournament was a fantastic experience. Representing Transworld Business Advisors, a national USA Pickleball sponsor, and bringing home medals was a proud moment for me and a great opportunity to showcase our brand’s commitment to the sport.”

The Foley tournament was one of only five national sites chosen for the inaugural USA Pickleball Select Series, highlighting the region’s growing prominence in the pickleball community.
Andrew Cagnetta, CEO of Transworld Business Advisors, commented, “Bill’s achievements are a shining example of how local leaders can excel both in their professional roles and in competitive sports. His success not only reflects his personal dedication but also underscores the supportive and dynamic environment fostered by our community.”
