Lawmaker wants English-only driver's license exams in Alabama (cbs42.com) — From Montgomery, lawmakers are weighing a bill that would make Alabama’s driver’s license exams English-only, banning interpreters and translation dictionaries for all test sections. Supporters say it will improve safety and communication with examiners, while opponents argue it unfairly restricts non-English speakers who still work and live across the state.
