SAMANTHA, AL — Tuscaloosa Patch has confirmed that the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a Friday morning shooting in the Samantha community in northern Tuscaloosa County.

Deputies with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office had a section of Billy Bigham Road, just off of Northside Road, cordoned off Friday morning, with investigators giving special attention to a Chevrolet truck parked in the road.
