1. Revolution Music Room to remain open until May, announce several new shows (kark.com) — Revolution Music Room in downtown Little Rock is staying open longer than expected, with shows now running through May 2026 before the venue closes. The longtime River Market staple is adding more concerts across genres, giving locals extra months to catch performances from acts like Randy Rogers Band and Arkansauce before the doors finally shut.
   

2. First-Generation Scholar and Advocate Finds Her Voice at UA Little Rock (ualr.edu) — A UA Little Rock graduate student from Nigeria is celebrating her Dec. 13 mass communication degree while crediting the university with helping her find her voice. Her work in student government at the Little Rock campus inspired a new health-focused nonprofit and a forthcoming book on healing and self-acceptance, as she prepares to pursue a Ph.D. at Rutgers.
   

3. UA Little Rock Alumna Erin Wood Finds Her Calling in Writing, Editing, and Publishing (ualr.edu) — A UA Little Rock alumna who now lives in Little Rock has built a thriving career as a writer, editor, and publisher while championing Arkansas authors. Her small press, Et Alia, and her teaching and mentoring work are helping shape the state’s literary community and showcasing local stories well beyond central Arkansas.
   

4. AAA report shows Arkansas gas prices remaining at four-year-low entering holiday season (fox16.com) — If you’re filling up in Little Rock–North Little Rock, you’re paying around $2.46 a gallon as Arkansas gas prices sit at a four-year low heading into the holidays. AAA says central Arkansas drivers are among those seeing the best deals, with statewide averages well below the national price and Hot Spring County posting the cheapest fuel in the state.
   

5. Low performing Arkansas school districts address state board (thv11.com) — State education leaders met in Little Rock to press several low-performing central Arkansas districts, including North Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Watson Chapel, and Fordyce, on how they’ll raise their “F” grades. Superintendents outlined plans involving new leadership structures, higher teacher pay, and targeted support for struggling students as the board warned that improvement is critical.
