Bulletin warns Central Arkansas law enforcement of possible gang threat to security guards (arkansasonline.com) — Central Arkansas law enforcement are on alert after a leaked Pulaski County sheriff’s bulletin warned of unconfirmed reports that a North Little Rock gang may have targeted security guards, especially at clubs and events. The memo, shared online by Little Rock Hood News, is tied to an unsolved double homicide near Little Rock, and investigators are asking residents for video or tips.
   

2. Pursuing Medical Dreams Starting at UA Little Rock (ualr.edu) — A UA Little Rock biology graduate, Kemiya Bornds, is taking her next step toward becoming an OB-GYN after growing into a campus leader through scholarships, mentoring, and student organizations. 3. 92-year-old Little Rock man honored for serving more than 20,000 volunteer hours (fox16.com) — A 92-year-old Little Rock resident, Bob Gee, has been honored for contributing more than 20,000 volunteer hours at the Clinton Presidential Center since 2005, including nearly 1,800 tours. Former President Bill Clinton personally recognized him as the center’s 2025 Volunteer of the Year, and the city has even declared a “Bob Gee Day” in his honor.
   

4. Starbucks baristas picketing in Little Rock (kark.com) — Starbucks workers at the Rodney Parham Road store in Little Rock joined a national unfair labor practices strike on Friday, alleging more than 100 violations at their location over the past year. Organizers say they’re demanding better treatment and pay stability, while Starbucks insists the strike has barely affected operations and says it’s ready to resume contract talks.
   

5. Man wanted in December 2024 North Little Rock killing extradited from Kansas (arkansasonline.com) — A man accused in a December 2024 North Little Rock homicide has been extradited from Kansas and booked into the Pulaski County jail, marking the second arrest in the case. One co-defendant has already taken a plea deal on gun and drug charges, while the newly extradited suspect’s case has been sealed in North Little Rock District Court.
