Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery Friday afternoon in Benicia, police said.

BENICIA - Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery Friday afternoon in Benicia, police said.
Officers responded at 1:24 p.m. to the Fast & Easy Mart at 1500 E. Fifth St., near Interstate Highway 780.
Preliminary information indicates an 18- to 20-year-old white or Hispanic man pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register, Benicia police Lt. Scott Przekurat said.

The clerk complied and the suspect left the area running north on East Fifth Street.
Police searched the area for the suspect with the help of a California Highway Patrol helicopter but were unable to locate the man, Przekurat said.

No one was injured.
