Flood Watch Issued For Benicia, Solano County

Heavy rain may lead to urban and small stream flooding, the National Weather Service said.

BENICIA, CA — The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a flood watch for parts of northern California, including the Carquinez Strait and Delta, Central Sacramento Valley, Motherlode, Northern San Joaquin Valley, Southern Sacramento Valley and West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada.

The flood watch begins at 11 p.m. Saturday and continues through 5 p.m. Monday. Heavy rain may lead to urban and small stream flooding, the weather service said.

"You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings," the National Weather Service said. "Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop."
